Pakistan Junior League PJL Franchises 2022
PJL 2022 is the newly introduced under-19 cricket league in Pakistan which will nurture our young talent into professional cricketers at this young age. Ramiz Raja softly launched the Pakistan Junior League on April 15, 2022. The PCB chairman shared the details of PJL Franchises 2022. Six teams will compete in the first edition of the PJL from October 06 to October 21 at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore. In the inaugural season, there will be six teams playing 19 contests.

PCB invited corporate bodies to be part of this great league. The media reports that almost 24 companies are fascinated by being part of Pakistan Junior League franchises. Three PSL franchises out of six are also keen on bidding on PJL teams.
PCB is excited that there is sufficient interest that attracts commercial partners, and PCB showed interest in engaging the legendary players as coaches and mentors.

PJL Franchise fee
At a press conference, Ramiz Raja said that the Pakistan Junior League will commence in October and six teams will play 19 matches. According to some reports, the PCB has set an amount of 0.7 million dollars (approximately 140 million) as a PJL franchise fee. Some Pakistan Junior League franchise owners recommended waiving the fee to spend more on the infrastructure and players. They also requested to include the players’ age below 23.
But according to the PCB media and communication director, Sami-Ul-Hasan, the PCB has rejected both the recommendations for the PJL franchise fee and below-23 age players.

Pakistan Junior League Franchise Allowances to Teenagers
PCB and its strategic partners (Engro Corporation and BRB Group Chemistry) agreed to provide the 100 best teenagers with a monthly stipend of 30,000 PKR each. They are also responsible for providing the players with scholarships at a premier educational institution, free cricket gear, kits, and high-performance coaching at the level of international coaches of the highest caliber.
